Why Lobular Breast Cancer Can Be Difficult To Detect On A Mammogram?

Invasive lobular carcinoma (ILC), a type of breast cancer that begins in the milk-producing lobules, can be particularly challenging to detect because it may not form a clearly defined lump. ILC accounts for approximately 10–15% of invasive breast cancers.
