In a recent interview, while promoting his soon-to-be-released film Lucky Baskhar, actor Dulquer Salmaan opened up about his health issues. He revealed that he took a break from work because of his health issues. Though he did not go much in the detail, he said that there had been some delays in the shoot due to his health. The film's director Venky Atluri also said that seeing the actor is pain, the team decided to wait for him to get better. Dulqur also mentioned that because of this he could not take on any new projects. "I do not like gaps. This year, I was supposed to do a couple of films. One got cancelled and one did not work out at the last minute. Then I had health issues. We [the Lucky Baskhar team] had delays because of that. My producer, director and everyone were so supportive. Once when we were shooting and if I was in some kind of pain, they will say, 'Sir, we will stop now. Don't do this. Go home and take some time off. We will come back and shoot'."He also said that a huge set was erected for the film and when he insisted on continuing the shoot, the team said that they did not want to se him in pain. Director Venky Alturi also said that he feels like they stretched the work to give him that pain. "Actors usually work for 9-10 hours. There were days when I stretched it to 12-15 hours. We feel sad when he is suffering."Seeing him in pain, the director consoled the actor, "He would say it is a huge set and did not want to make the crew wait. I would say, 'It is okay sir. Health is important.' We have become a family, it is tough to see a good human in pain."Working More Than You Can Could Lead To OverexertionThe director mentioned that on many days the work hour was stretched, which led to Dulqur in pain. What could happen if you stretch your work day? Doing it once in a while won't do you any harm, but if your work hours are stretched on a regular basis, you can reach the point of burnout.
